About HUMBOL

The HUMBOL Project, which stands for blended and online learning in the humanities, is a faculty-focused TDG project that intends to provide every FHM colleague with the principled and practical resources necessary to develop their online teaching to a level consistent with the quality of the best online courses available at top universities anywhere in the world. While formal training and sharing opportunities for online teaching practices are offered by LTTC and OCIO, this project has the opportunity to situate the technical aspects of such practices in the context of FHM programs, courses and specific pedagogies, thus providing readily accessible models of best practice for FHM staff in rethinking courses to better align with the ‘new normal’ of online and other blended teaching approaches. The ultimate objective of the project is to provide our students with courses in the humanities that offer blended and online teaching and learning that is consistent with our faculty motto and the world they live in – teaching that employs technology to enhance their access, interest, and understanding of the world and broadens the way.
